Zuzu was born and grew up in Istanbul, where two continents and cultures have become entwined over thousands of years.

Coming from an artistic family, she grew up around truly inspirational people, particularly her mother.

Having completed her studies at a specialist Art and Design High School, she changed direction and went on to study Public Administration at the University in Ankara (T.O.D.A.I.E-S.I.Y.O).

During her years as a student there, Zuzu continued to involve herself with the arts by assisting a local artist, who specialized in oil paintings. In her remaining spare time, to relax, she carved wood sculptures.

Lived in Turkey, Bahrain, Brussels and now, since 1989, she is in London.

Diversity on her background affected her art...

Her culturally-rich world of light, subtle colours and texture are combining on her oil paintings and figurative stained glasses panels.

On Fascinating African art, she enjoys three-dimensional works. In the year of 2006’s summer, she worked with three sculptors from Zimbabwe. Passmore Mupindiko, Brian Watyoka and Lincon Muteta shared their stone carving methods with Zuzu. She now continues to pursue natural stone sculpting along with her on-going work with clay. Zuzu’s sculptures feature in private collections in the UK, USA and Turkey.

Zuzu is a member of Surrey Sculpture Society (www.surreysculpture.com) and Saatchi Online (www.saatchionline.com).

Zuzu has been presented her work to HRH Princess Michael of Kent at SWA Annual Exhibitions at The Mall Galleries, London.
